There\u2019s something magical about photographing the same family in the same place\u2014ten years apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeremy isn\u2019t just a longtime friend of my husband Mike\u2026 he\u2019s his best friend, his brother-from-another-mother, his ride-or-die since their days in the Marines. Their bond started with a small act of kindness and grew into a lifelong friendship that\u2019s weathered time and distance\u2014proof that real family isn\u2019t always about blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A decade ago, I had the joy of capturing the Franklin family\u2019s very first photos before we devoured a delicious brunch at the 94th Aero Squadron. That shoot gave me one of my all-time favorite images\u2014Faith\u2019s radiant smile, which still graces my website\u2019s contact page to this day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fast forward to now\u2014same family, same spot, same love\u2014and somehow, they\u2019ve only gotten more beautiful (and let\u2019s be real, so has my camera gear). It felt like hitting rewind and play at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
