Some love stories are written in the stars long before the couple even realizes it — and Melinda and Jorge’s journey is exactly that kind of fairytale.
After knowing each other as kids, life took them in different directions. But sometimes, destiny has a way of bringing two hearts back together when the time is right. Many years later, their paths crossed again (covid of all times) and it was clear their connection was timeless — a spark that had been waiting to reignite.
Their wedding day was simply magical. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Sunset Cliffs in Ocean Beach, the ceremony took place exactly one year from both their first date 6 years ago and 1 year from Jorge’s heartfelt proposal. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the clouds painted the sky in cool hues as they promised forever to one another. Also we can’t forget Peanut who was walked down the aisle by Sophia and is such a special part of their lives.
Even more special, got to see some of our work peeps shaking their ass on the dance floor. Many who I’ve known for years and have become work family.
One of the most touching moments came from Melinda’s daughter, Sophia, who delivered an unforgettable speech that moved everyone to tears. She spoke of their inspiring love story — how her mom found her soulmate — and how Jorge had stepped into her life and her heart without hesitation, becoming the dad she’d always dreamed of, with no questions asked.
It was a moment filled with love, gratitude, and the warmth of family — a celebration not just of two people, but of a beautiful blending of hearts. For Melinda and Jorge, this wasn’t just a wedding day; it was proof that love always finds its way home.
