I just wrapped up my second family session with the lively crew of Mike, Andrew, their spirited daughter Emma, and of course, Horchata the dog—who, by the way, might just be plotting to take over the world with that side-eye she gives me! I first met this fun bunch last year when their beloved photographer retired, and honestly, it felt like winning the lottery—except without the cash. Can someone find me some cash because in that whole forest, I couldn’t find one money tree… oh wait this isn’t about me… back to my fam:
Emma, at the ripe age of 8, is already channeling her inner teenager. I can see it now: her Dads are going to be in full-on panic mode when she actually hits 16. Between her sassy remarks and charming antics, I’m pretty sure she’s already got a fan club. They should probably start preparing for a revolving door of teenage drama—and I’m here for it!
Horchata, on the other hand, is the ultimate sidekick. She might look innocent, but I know she’s just one bark away from suggesting a heist for extra treats. Seriously, I’m convinced she thinks she’s the real star of the show, and I’m just here for comic relief.
We headed to Marian Bear Park, which, lucky for us, was mostly deserted—except for a few joggers who seemed to be exercising just to spite us. I mean, who does that? With the peaceful vibes and zero competition for space, we made the park our playground.
And can we talk about their upcoming international trip? I’m both jealous and excited for them at the same time. They’re about to embark on some epic adventures in my home country while I’m just trying to figure out how to keep my garden alive. Bring me back some mangos!
Check out the teaser photos from our day! There’s lots… because how can you pick a few when they’re this pretty!
