Last night’s session with Jayden hit a little different—in the best way. We spent the evening at the Santa Monica Pier, which made the whole shoot feel even more special—perfect light, ocean breeze, and that classic California energy to match such a big milestone. I’ve had the honor of photographing this family since Anique’s engagement back in 2021, then her beautiful wedding to Joe in 2022, and now here we are celebrating Jayden’s graduation in 2026. Watching these milestones unfold is one of the greatest gifts of what I do.
Jayden, I’ve got to say… you’ve grown into such an incredible young man. You’ve always had that effortless charm (and yes, I know you’ll roll your eyes at that—don’t worry, your secret’s safe with me). Cool without trying, but with that low-key nerdy side that makes you even more likable. It’s a solid combo. I ain’t even salty that I have to look up to him now since he grew that much in a short amount of time.
On the track, you shine—your dedication and drive are obvious, and it’s no surprise you make your mom so proud. And speaking of Anique… if you know her, you know. Being in her circle means you’ve got someone cheering louder than anyone else in your corner, every single time. That kind of love and support? Unmatched. Also hats off to her for being my ASSistant and being a great flash whore. She also made us get a funnel cake and icecream… thanks Mom!
Now you’re off to Sacramento this fall, stepping into dorm life, new friendships, and a whole new chapter. It’s exciting, a little nerve-wracking, and full of possibility—all exactly how it should be.
Jayden, I’m so proud of you and everything you’ve accomplished. Keep being you, keep chasing your goals, and don’t lose that spark that makes you you.
Good luck—you’re going to do amazing things!
