Some love stories skip the traditional order — and Marissa and Kenyon’s is proof that it’s never too late to have the moments you missed. Kenyon had a special ring designed for Marissa that tells the story of their journey and Marissa thought we need to document this and there we were!
They met overseas while serving our country in the Navy, two hearts finding each other in the middle of duty, distance, and everything that comes with military life. Somewhere between deployments and time zones, they fell in love — and eventually said “I do.” But between the demands of service and life moving fast, there were a few chapters they never got to slow down and savor: the proposal. The cake in each other’s faces. The pure, giddy almost-wedding magic.
So we gave it to them.
This “Everything” session was designed to be just that — a preview of the wedding still to come in 2028, wrapped into one golden-hour afternoon at the stunning Ponte Inn in Temecula. From the moment they arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just a photoshoot — it was a long-overdue love letter to each other. Kenyon got down on one knee (again, and just as nervous as the first time, if not more). Marissa’s face when she had the cake after they cut it together was pure bliss.
They were unapologetically amorous the entire session — leaning in for one more kiss, one more forehead touch, one more “I can’t believe this is us” glance. The vineyard rows, the warm Temecula light, and Ponte’s romantic old-world ambiance did the rest, framing them like the main characters of their own love story (because they are).
This shoot was never meant to replace their wedding day — it was meant to hold space for the moments the timeline didn’t allow, so that when 2028 finally arrives, they’ll walk into their real wedding already having tasted the magic once.
