Amy and Chris’s wedding at Rancho de Las Palmas in Simi Valley was one for the books!
It was a hot, beautiful day, with fluffy clouds drifting through the sky and the kind of energy that made you feel like something special was happening. The birds were singing, everyone was buzzing with excitement, and there was so much love surrounding these two.
And then… the day took an unexpected little detour.
Without getting into all the details, what could have easily become a stressful moment turned into one of those unforgettable parts of a wedding day. Because when things don’t go exactly according to plan, you quickly find out who is there for you — and Amy and Chris were surrounded by the best kind of people.
Their closest friends and family stepped up in the most beautiful way. The bridal party was absolutely incredible from beginning to end, supporting, encouraging, laughing, helping, and making sure Amy and Chris knew they were never facing anything alone. And honestly? That kind of love is what weddings are really about.
Through every twist and turn, Amy and Chris kept moving forward together, surrounded by the people who love them most. And by the end of the day, the heat, the unexpected detour, and all the little moments in between simply became part of their story.
This wedding was also extra special because it brought together the Ventura/Oxnard crew — the gang that Kevy (yes, that Kevy you all know and love 😆) hangs with. There was no shortage of personality, laughter, and good energy in this group, and it made the day feel even more personal. The reception dancing was lit and I’m pretty sure I got pregnant by one of the Bridesmaids twerking on me (Jen I expect child support)….
Amy and Chris, your wedding may not have gone exactly according to plan, but it was filled with something even better: love, laughter, friendship, family, and a whole lot of people cheering you on.
And at the end of the day, that’s what made it absolutely beautiful. Thank you for choosing me to capture these special memories. xoxo
