Love Waves: Celebrating Mercedes + Mike Wedding Teasers – Imperial Beach/Swiss Park

What a whirlwind of love and laughter we experienced as we gathered to celebrate the fabulous union of Mercedes and Mike! Their wedding at Imperial Beach was a dreamy affair, with the sun shining, the ocean waves crashing, and over 200 friends and family members ready to witness their vows. Seriously, if love were a beach, this day would be a tropical paradise! Also it’s not everyday that the Ceremony gives out shots prior to the Wedding. The sweetest moments though were Mercedes and Mike seeing each other prior to the ceremony and sharing private vows with each other. I was so touched, I asked them if they would also marry me. Her makeup was crafted and applied by the very talented beautiful Val (as if we would have anyone else!) Hair for Mercy and the Bridesmaids carefully and stylishly done by Miranda Mahon and LeeAnne Huffman. This day was going off without a hitch!

As Mercedes glided down the aisle, you could practically hear hearts doing backflips—no one was immune to the magic! The couple’s love was palpable, and I think even the seagulls were swooning.

After saying “I do,” and them jumping the broom, we all moved the party to Swiss Park, where emotions hit a high tide during Mike and Mercedes’ thank you speeches. Let me tell you, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! Their heartfelt words and genuine gratitude had everyone feeling like we were all part of this epic love story. Cue the happy tears!

What made this day even more special for me? It marks the third referral from the beautiful Irene with the first dynamic duo, Elisa and Jaime, whose Wedding I shot first! I was over the moon to snag a classic Stephy Wong selfie with them—proof that love really does come full circle. One of my favorite parts of the reception was watching the “kids” reaction to the first dance… they almost made a baby so they were like OMG! It was hilarious but they are all so happy for them.

Mercedes and Mike, you two are the definition of a perfect match, and I can’t “wait” to see where your adventure takes you next! Here’s to endless laughter, love, and a lifetime of spontaneous dance parties. I really love these two, they treated me like I was just an old friend and with so much compassion.
