Every year, I look forward to Sunny, Stephanie, and Peyton’s annual family photo session — this time at the Coronado Ferry Landing (we choose a new place every year!), a place that holds a special spot in my heart since I grew up there and spent a lot of my teenage years having friend therapy sessions in the park there till 3am. The wind almost blew us away, but we still managed to get some great shots despite the breeze. We even witnessed a proposal (we were waiting for a no, but she said yes). Peyton, now 10 going on 15, has turned full-blown diva and I love it. She still has her dance moves she learned as a younger child and she definitely can show them off! Sunny and Steph are one of my favorite couples; being with them feels less like a photo session and more like catching up with old friends. I met Sunny way back in the day (when we were young we’re not a kid anymore) and Steph later after they married and Peyton was just a wee baby. I really can’t imagine not having known them and getting to see them grow. Afterward, we wrapped up with a yummy dinner — the perfect end to a perfect day!
