December 13, 2014, will forever be etched in our hearts. It was the day Mike and I exchanged vows at the enchanting Secret Lagoon in Ko’Olina, Hawaii. Our wedding was a dream come true, set against the stunning backdrop of a tropical paradise. Fast forward ten years, and we found ourselves celebrating a milestone that many only dream of—our 10-year anniversary at the breathtaking Sandals Royal Bahamian resort.
Reflecting on a decade of marriage, it’s impossible to ignore the rough roads and patchy journey we’ve endured. Marriage isn’t always easy; it’s a commitment that demands dedication, patience, and unwavering love. We’ve faced our share of challenges, but through it all, we’ve learned that the rewards of a strong, loving partnership far outweigh the difficulties.
Arriving at Sandals Royal Bahamian felt like stepping into a fairytale. The resort’s pristine beaches, luxurious accommodations, and world-class amenities provided the perfect setting to reminisce about our journey and create new memories. Each day was filled with joy, laughter, and a deep appreciation for how far we’ve come.
That said, the Bahama winds were not kind to me. No amount of Aqua Net could have saved my hair from flying all over the place! But we laughed through it, making it all part of the adventure. Who needs perfect hair when you have the perfect partner, right? We also honored the life of our first baby Theodore Bear Nash who we lost on our anniversary 3 years ago so he made the trip with us (pictured last).
As we celebrated our 10th anniversary, we were reminded that marriage is a continuous journey, one that requires both partners to give their all. It’s about weathering the storms together and cherishing the sunny days. Our time at Sandals Royal Bahamian was more than a celebration; it was a reaffirmation of our commitment to each other and a promise to continue nurturing our relationship.
Our decadaversary was captured by none other than your favorite Kevy! Who without, this trip would definitely be a lot less fun! We were also joined by the Nash Kids Christian and Karina who made a 7 plane trip from Okinawa to celebrate. Check out 12/13/24:
