This past weekend, we had the absolute honor of celebrating Jo Ann and Larry’s 50th Wedding Anniversary at the stunning Marinaj Banquets and the Crystal Cove Room. It was a golden milestone filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories—the kind of day that reminds you why we do what we do. They got married 50 years ago through a courthouse and never had the Wedding Celebration that young girls dream of when they grow up. The time came.
Jo Ann and Larry came to us through a beautiful chain of connections, starting with Anique and Joe, whose unforgettable wedding we captured back in 2022. But the real MVP of this story? Ashley, Anique’s sister, who found us at The Kiss The Bride Bridal Show. Without her, none of these incredible moments, hilarious stories, or heartfelt events would have unfolded. Ashley, we owe you a big thank-you for being the bridge to so much joy! The star of this show (besides the stunning Jo Ann ofcourse) was Anique and Cece who put and led this whole thing together!
The day was as unique as the couple we were celebrating. It was a blustery day—one of those where nature reminds you who’s boss—but that didn’t dampen the festive spirit. In fact, it added to the charm and unpredictability of the event. Speaking of unpredictability, here’s a moment no one saw coming: all nine groomsmen decided to squeeze into an elevator at the same time. What started as a lighthearted group decision turned into a nearly two-hour adventure when the elevator decided it was done for the day. My disappointment was that noone… NOONE farted not once. They are lucky I was not in there.
Cue the heroes of the hour: the Inland Empire Fire Team. With precision and professionalism, they rescued the stranded groomsmen, turning what could have been a major mishap into a story that will undoubtedly be retold at family gatherings for years to come. Bravo to the firefighters for saving the day—and the groomsmen’s dignity!
Despite the unexpected hiccup, the celebration was nothing short of magical. Jo Ann and Larry were surrounded by their loved ones, and the air was thick with love and admiration for a couple who have spent five incredible decades together. From heartfelt speeches to the joyous clinking of glasses, every moment was a testament to their enduring bond.
To Jo Ann and Larry, thank you for letting us be a part of your golden celebration. Here’s to 50 years of love and a future filled with even more adventures, laughter, and, hopefully, fewer elevator incidents!
