This past weekend, I had the joy (and cardio workout) of photographing Gerilynn and Kyle’s wedding at the stunning Monte De Oro Winery in Temecula. The views were breathtaking, the wine was flowing, and the love? Well, it was stronger than a double pour of cabernet. The day was flawlessly executed and led by Ann of Ann’s Plans who is such a doll and I adore working with her.
Now, this wasn’t your average walk-down-the-aisle-and-done kind of day. Oh no. This wedding came with FOUR—yes, FOUR—separate reveals. We had:
- The Bridesmaids reveal (cue the high-pitched screams and frantic fan-flapping).
- The Father of the Bride reveal (cue the proud dad tears and mild sweater sweating).
- The Kids of the Groom reveal (cue the collective “awwws”).
- And the big one: Kyle seeing Gerilynn for the first time… in the barrel room. Aka wine dungeon meets rom-com moment. It was intimate, emotional, and had just the right amount of dramatic lighting to make a grown man misty-eyed (and possibly blame it on the wine fumes).
From heartfelt vows to a view that looked like it was Photoshopped in real-time, every moment was magic—and maybe just a little tipsy.
Here’s to Gerilynn, Kyle, their beautiful blended family, and a wine country wedding that deserves its own Hallmark movie (with a little Rated-R Stephy/Kevy humor). 🍇💫
